Back from the Dead

I would like to start this post by apologizing to any and all fans of the site. No updates have taken place since 2009, and I know this let a lot of people down. I want to take a minute to say that I am sorry, and let those of you that follow The Best 100 Lists know why.

In late 2008 I had some personal things happen in my life, that I won’t go into, but I ended up in a dark place abusing drugs and alcohol. I can finally say that I am an addict. But I can also finally say that I am in recovery. I won’t blame my own issues for my poor judgement. I choose to drink alcohol and do drugs and destroy any chance I had at a normal life. I feel very fortunate to be alive and sober today and I have one friend to thank. Thanks Rick B.

A friend of mine had struggled with addiction in late 2013 and he found a company that helped him out. Luckily, late last year he turned me on to them as well. The company was Elite Rehab Placement. Their website is If you know anyone struggling with addiction, I highly recommend that you reach out to them. They were able to find me an amazing rehab center, arrange travel for me, and basically hold my hand all the way in the door. I was in a state of mind where I just couldn’t have done that myself. I will be forever grateful to them for this.

So with that said, I am 90 days sober tomorrow, but still have a lot of work to do. The good news is that I have rekindled my passion for film, literature, and history and plan to get to work on The Best 100 Lists as soon as possible. You can all expect an update sometime in the second quarter of this year. It will take time because there is a ton of data to compile but fortunately the site has saved all votes that have come in over the last 6 years and we should have massive updates on all lists.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
